On the dawn of long awaited (and sadly, last) album of hip-hop pioneers, A Tribe Called Quest, all artists from Feel Ghood Music decided to remake ATCQ’s, “Check The Rhime”as a thank you for inspiring the entire FGM team.
Upon hearing the ATCQ album announcement, Tiger JK and Yoonmirae posted the above video of themselves jamming to the original song. What was not expected was the idea that fans would plant within them:
And with that, fan dreams became real, a reminder that our celeb biases do read their comments thread (Proceed with caution!).
The track includes every member of Feel Ghood Music and its counterpart, Ghood Life Crew. If you’re not up to date, that includes Tiger JK, Yoonmirae, Bizzy, Junoflo, Ann One, Myundo, and Superbee.
The exclusive (FREE) track will be available on hiphopkr.comlater today.
We got word a few months ago that power vocalist and regular Drunken Tiger feature artist, Ann One, would be releasing a track with our own Yoonmirae, and Rhapsodistas collective member, Rocky Rivera. With only a short audio preview released on Instagram, fans were left wondering what was the story behind this power collab. At 7PM PST yesterday, ISA Music Global (a division of ISAtv), gave us the answer.
The song titled “Watch Yo Mouth” features AnnOne’s signature hypnotic vocals and the power verses of Yoonmirae and Rocky Rivera. Producers DJ Phatrick and Kiwi Illafonte add the intricate sounds that make this a center track for 18MillionRising‘s compilation album, which encourages Asian-Americans to get up and vote. The compilation features a number of heavy APA musical influences, and will be released at a later date.
Earlier today, Feel Ghood Music put out a teaser announcement about a new artist signing with the label. After weeks of Feel Ghood Music fam becoming close with rappers SuperBee and MyunDo, fans immediately thought the obvious new artists would be the duo. However, FGM proved they could fool even the smartest of fans.
There was no press conference, and only a very quiet build up to the moment. Leave it to boss, Tiger JK, to announce it in a less formal, but just powerful way via Instagram.
Summer 2012 – KPOP NIGHT OUT in Singapore got a dose of YoonMiRae, Tiger JK, and Bizzy during the pre-stages of MFBTY during a humid Asia night. Fans welcomed the trio from their first steps into the country until their take off at the airport, leaving fans waiting eagerly for their return. Despite a very warm reception, the trio has not done an Asia show (outside of Korea) since then.
But thanks to Concrete & Grass MUSIC FESTIVAL, patient fans can now relax. September 17th marks the a huge moment for MFBTY, where they will be performing amongst a mega line up of international stars. Other stars scheduled to perform include Miyavi, DJ Premiere, ASAP FERG, Zuriaake, and Re-TROS.

In the March issue of Elle Bride Korea, 13 couples, including Yoon MiRae and Tiger JK, shared their romantic love stories as well as did a photoshoot just in time for the 130th anniversary of Tiffany Jewelry’s Setting Ring.
Tiger JK was seen wearing a clean, crisp white shirt, with Yoon Mi Rae donning long braids covered by a wedding veil. They both wore gold watches and matching jewelry to display their hip-hop royalty status.
When asked about why they did not hold a formal wedding ceremony (they did a small, laid back one with friends and family), they answered, “Rather than throwing a lavish event mainly focused on pleasing other people’s eyes, we put importance in living with laughter, with each other.”Their interpretation showed the true meaning of marriage.
Although they’ve been married for more than 9 years (together for 13!), Tiger JK & YoonMiRae act just like newlyweds – sharing the happy, sad, and tough times with each other and growing with one another.
Other couples such as Sean & Jung Hye Young, and Steve J & Yoni P, will be featured in the March issue of Elle Bride to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the Tiffany Setting Ring.
Child reality shows are seen as a risk for TV networks, but throw in a power couple like YoonMiRae and Tiger JK and worry be gone!
MNET’s “We Kid (aka We Sing Like a Kid)” hopes to find the next child star by challenging them to perform new children songs written by famous mentors. The lead coaches include Tiger JK, actress, Park Bo Young, and actor, Yoo Yun Suk.
Each coach also has their own team of co-mentors and producers, and naturally Tiger JK’s include wife, YoonMiRae, and partner, Bizzy.
During the premiere episode, Yoon MiRae is brought to tears by a young contestant, Oh Yeon Joon. Although Yoon is considered the level headed member of MFBTY, Oh’s rendition of Pocahontas’ “Colors of the Wind” was enough to make her cry over a children’s song. Oh was naturally chosen, and chose Park Bo Young as his mentor.
However, Oh wasn’t the biggest shock to Tiger and Yoon MiRae. Six-year-old, Lee Ha Rang created his own unique version of Zico and Mino’s, “Okey Dokey.”
The energized performance had the judges and audience alike on their feet and dancing. When asked about why he chose to rap, Lee Ha Rang responded, “Rap is an expression of the mind. That’s what I like about it.”
Most assumed that Lee would choose Tiger JK as his mentor, but every jaw fell to the floor when he chose Yoo Yun Suk. When asked why he chose Yoo over Tiger JK, Lee replied, “I just think his team is better. I was going to choose Tiger JK, but I changed my mind. Sorry!”
Tiger JK jokingly stated that Lee’s choice bruised his ego enough that he’s not willing to do another album.
glam look styled by JK’s sister, Jamie SuhWe heard fan buzz of Tiger JK & YoonMiRae hanging in LA, but were met with surprise when they were seen in a limo glammed up and heading to the Grammys with the likes of legendary singer/songwriter, Yoon Jong Shin, and DJ Soulscape. The invite to the exclusive event came from a regular sponsor of the pair, Hyundai Card.
Ready to go to The Grammy’sTiger JK seemed to have the most fun bonding with fellow pioneer, Yoon Jong Shin.
Tiger JK’s and YoonMiRae’s appearance at The Grammy’s came perfectly timed
before the latest announcement, of Yoon’s newest OST Single, “Always” which was released February 18th as part of the soundtrack for “Descendant Of The Sun.”
Feel Ghood Music released the full YoonMiRae “This Love” MV just 20 minutes ago, and we were so not ready for it. YoonMiRae is seen standing alone in multiple outfits, taking on the different roles she’s been called (queen, beauty, serenity, etc.). However, it’s that piano and accompanied sweet vocals that leave us in the dust. That bridge mid-song… yeah, you might need a minute.
YoonMiRae’s “This Love” single isn’t debuting until Monday, but her teaser released today gives us a look at what to expect. The piano intro takes us into the emotional world, and Lady T’s encapsulating eyes and classy outfits draw us in. Seriously, cue the Kleenex.
Korean Basketball fans have something to be excited about. Tiger JK will be releasing “Dunk Funk,” a track with a basketball theme that will get the hearts of fans racing.
MBC Sports Plus has linked up with Tiger JK to provide a special end-of-year present to the 2015-2016 Pro-Basketball fans – a unique collaboration between Hip Hop and Basketball.
The MV shooting scene featured Tiger JK and MBC Sports Announcers Jung Young Gum, Son Woo Joo and Park Shin Young.
Tiger JK was infatuated with the announcer badge worn on the announcer’s uniforms and took no time to put it on himself during the MV shoot. It was reported that his funny and often quirky acts made the environment very relaxed and humorous.
“Dunk Funk,” which will be released via MBC Sports Plus, will portray the sport’s unique competitiveness and sportsmanship over hip-hop beats. It is anticipated that with this track playing on the fields, the fans will enjoy basketball even more on a new level.
