CLAP FOR MFBTY + FEEL GHOOD EP RELEASING TOMORROW (6/27)

Leave it to the “Wondaland” artists to drop news of a new mini album unconventionally!

MFBTY members, Tiger JK and Bizzy, have become addicted to their Instagram lives as of late, dropping snippets of a Feel Ghood Music EP that’s coming out TOMORROW 6/27.

The mini album will include all Feel Ghood Music artists, including Drunken Tiger JK, Yoonmirae, Bizzy, Junoflo, and Ann One.

The album will also feature actress/singer, Arden Cho, of Teen Wolf fame. Arden became friends with MFBTY in 2013.

The supposed song title is “Clap Clap Clap,” with a catchy hook graced by FGM’s leading lady, Yoonmirae.

We’ve asked JK to repost his IG live previews, but he’s keeping the snippets ever elusive for those not watching his lives already!

We recommend fans hit the follow button on IG and put boss on alert if they want to hear the album before anyone else!

6:06AM KST UPDATE: After TigerJK went live, more details have been released. The album will drop at 6PM KST. FGM has NOT finished recording it (LOL). Another song title, 토끼 (“MADHATTER),” was revealed. It is a collab between Arden Cho and MFBTY (Drunken Tiger JK, Yoonmirae, and Bizzy). Another song features MRSHLL (Marshall Bang), an artist that Feel Ghood Music was seen hanging out with at SXSW.

Feel Ghood Music Tribute Song Says “Thank You, A Tribe Called Quest”

On the dawn of long awaited (and sadly, last) album of hip-hop pioneers, A Tribe Called Quest, all artists from Feel Ghood Music decided to remake ATCQ’s, “Check The Rhime” as a thank you for inspiring the entire FGM team.

Upon hearing the ATCQ album announcement, Tiger JK and Yoonmirae posted the above video of themselves jamming to the original song. What was not expected was the idea that fans would plant within them:

And with that, fan dreams became real, a reminder that our celeb biases do read their comments thread (Proceed with caution!).

The track includes every member of Feel Ghood Music and its counterpart, Ghood Life Crew. If you’re not up to date, that includes Tiger JK, Yoonmirae, Bizzy, Junoflo, Ann One, Myundo, and Superbee.

The exclusive (FREE) track will be available on hiphopkr.com later today

MFBTY ADVENTURES THROUGH LA; KILLS IT AT KTMF

KoreaTimes Hollywood Bowl is the longest running American annual KPOP concert, boasting of having many of Korea’s top of the top artists. While this was the primary reason MFBTY came to LA, they made the most of their short stay. Our team was lucky enough to document parts of their ventures (with management photos for those moments we weren’t present), and we’re happy to let the fandom live vicariously through our experience.

DAY 1

The group arrived last Thursday, May 5th, and while the flight was tiring, they were in high spirits for their upcoming gig. The trio decided to add associate DJ, DJ R2, to their set last minute, adding an interesting scratch combo with their regular DJ, Smells. The brisk LA weather was refreshing for all of them, and a stay in LA always brings about past fun adventures they had in the city (LA is JK’s second home, as he spent most of his childhood there). The staff of KTMF were glad to put them up in one of the fancier hotels in the city, The Millennium Biltmore, an arrangement that is more extravagent than their usual accommodations. Bizzy was more than happy to post the evidence of their fancy stay.

While sleep was probably a smarter choice, the trio took to the streets of Downtown LA that night to take a brisk walk. DJ R2 seemed the most excited by his big city visit, but manager, Ryoji, DJ Smells, and Bizzy were glad to show excitement and videobomb R2’s Instagram.

DAY 2

The excitement of the city made sleeping tough, but they did not let that show during their rehearsal. The sheer size of the Hollywood Bowl was an eye opener, but no performance at the Bowl is complete without the proper backing images. DJ Smells got the all star entrance spinning around on a rotating stage, backed by images from MFBTY’s “Wondaland” and “Angel.” If you didn’t know who the members were before, you were going to find out from the giant screens.

It was soon off to Club Feria, thanks to an invite from the club owners. What was originally supposed to be a quick hello and chill, turned into a night of reunions and an impromptu concert for club goers. The same night, old Movement member, Microdot (from then DOK2 + MICRODOT group, AllBlack), was scheduled to perform. Upon hearing of our family’s presence that night, Microdot made it a point to visit the family for a thorough reunion.

The fam jammed to Microdot’s set, very proud to see old fam doing well. However, the big highlight for MFBTY’s fans that night was when DJ R2 decided to take over the turntables, dropping “Monster,” and then convincing MFBTY to take the stage. R2 then played Bizzy’s “ALL I NEED,” giving Bizzy fans the American stage debut of the single.

DAY 3

Friday was enough to tire everyone out, and give them an opportunity to sleep so they’d be ready for the big day. Hollywood Bowl is a long day, for both fans and the artists. With a total of 21 acts, and a requirement for artists to appear on stage at the very end, that put our trio at the venue for nearly 7 hours. Coming and leaving proved difficult, but in California tradition, the team was able to have In-N-Out delivered to them for their dinner. When in Rome…

Despite getting rest, the team was still physically tired and anxious for the big show. They were the second to last act, the lead up into Shinee. They stopped for a few minutes prior to put on a positive face for us, even giving us this fun treat.

mfbty silly

At 9:50PM, MFBTY went on, starting with “ANGEL.” Despite the huge line up of artists, there were a number of fans in the $300 pit waiting just for MFBTY. They gave the predominantly pop line-up a hip-hop twist when they dropped, “Sweet Dream,” then “BangDiggyBangBang,” and SURPRISE-“MONSTER.” Most KTMF performances are 3 songs long, but MFBTY somehow managed to squeeze a bonus song for concert goers.

They returned at the end of the show with all the other artists. Rather than simply sing the end song, they decided to make the fan experience even better: for a full 10 minutes, they dropped into the pit, signed autographs, and took pictures with fans.

Mirae came down to sign and say hi too! 😁😳 #KMF2016

After a long day, the fam went back to their hotel to rest. However, the next day, they reflected on how many fans came out specifically for them amongst a large line-up of artists. Despite given a short set, it was apparent that fans were more than content with finally being able to see one of their rare U.S. performances.

MFBTY thanks all fans who came out to this short set. The fam would love to come back for a full on concert of their own soon, and DT MFBTY INTL will be the first to let you know when they do.

MFBTY’s Bizzy To Release Album After 8 Years

MFBTY’s Bizzy is known to fans as MFBTY’s mysterious (yet single) pretty boy. While many fans focus on Tiger JK & YoonMiRae’s relationship, April 20th marks the day Bizzy takes back the spotlight.

Bizzy’s last EP album, “Bizzionary,” dropped a whopping 8 years ago in 2008. It was led by single, “The Day We Broke Up,” a remix of a Lee HyunWoo’s classic. Bizzy has performed alongside Tiger JK and YoonMiRae for over 10 years, but his main accomplishments are often quieter ones, collaborating with artists such as Leessang, Dok2, Jay Park, Lee Hyori, and many others. However, his upcoming album puts him in the forefront, with fellow MFBTY members and many others providing supporting vocals.

While we still don’t know who else is participating on his album, what we do know is his title single, “검은머리 파뿌리 (All I Need),” will drop April 20th. The single will feature singer, Kye Bumzu, and based on the teaser Bizzy dropped today, we can expect some soulful sounds and Bizzy hotness dressed in a suit.

Bizzy’s debut performance will be on April 21st on MNET M Countdown.

[vid] MFBTY’s Bizzy Left Speechless By His Birthday Gift

Screenshot 2016-03-01 22.25.10

While we at DT MFBTY INTL traditionally deliver gifts via social media, we wanted to give MFBTY’s Bizzy something different for his big “9th” birthday. We know our Leap Year boy is still growing, so we went for stuff he could touch, smell, and most importantly, EAT.

When we put out the call on our social media outlets, we encouraged fans to send stuff that MFBTY could not find in Korea. We were asked what Bizzy’s hobbies were, his favorite food, what he likes to wear, and the results were pretty amazing.

Some of Bizzy’s gifts included:

  • weighted boxing gloves from a Texas fan
  • a box of Twinkies (also from Texas)
  • Rooster Sirarcha sauce bottles
  • orange Tic Tacs (his weakness)
  • Guyabano and Biis from Brazil
  • Siraracha potato chips
  • artwork and letters
  • Reese’s Pieces packs
  • a handwoven hat from California
  • a hat, sweatpants, and snacks from us

Feel Ghood Music filmed the whole reveal, and in between you can hear MFBTY being full dork and cracking jokes on each other. Tiger JK does not make a physical appearance because he was too busy playing witty cameraman.

Supposedly, Bizzy got greedy at first and brought the entire box home with him, but after some pressure, brought back some goods to share (LOL!).

Check the video for the full reaction.

Thanks to all the fans and Drunken Tiger MFBTY INTL staff who submitted!

“WE KID” Contestant Makes Yoon MiRae Cry; Other Disses Tiger JK

wekid_2

Child reality shows are seen as a risk for TV networks, but throw in a power couple like YoonMiRae and Tiger JK and worry be gone!

MNET’s “We Kid (aka We Sing Like a Kid)” hopes to find the next child star by challenging them to perform new children songs written by famous mentors. The lead coaches include Tiger JK, actress, Park Bo Young, and actor, Yoo Yun Suk.

Each coach also has their own team of co-mentors and producers, and naturally Tiger JK’s include wife, YoonMiRae, and partner, Bizzy.

During the premiere episode, Yoon MiRae is brought to tears by a young contestant, Oh Yeon Joon. Although Yoon is considered the level headed member of MFBTY, Oh’s rendition of Pocahontas’ “Colors of the Wind” was enough to make her cry over a children’s song. Oh was naturally chosen, and chose Park Bo Young as his mentor.

However, Oh wasn’t the biggest shock to Tiger and Yoon MiRae. Six-year-old, Lee Ha Rang created his own unique version of Zico and Mino’s, “Okey Dokey.”

The energized performance had the judges and audience alike on their feet and dancing. When asked about why he chose to rap, Lee Ha Rang responded, “Rap is an expression of the mind. That’s what I like about it.”

Most assumed that Lee would choose Tiger JK as his mentor, but every jaw fell to the floor when he chose Yoo Yun Suk. When asked why he chose Yoo over Tiger JK, Lee replied, “I just think his team is better. I was going to choose Tiger JK, but I changed my mind. Sorry!”

Tiger JK jokingly stated that Lee’s choice bruised his ego enough that he’s not willing to do another album.

Don’t worry, J. We still love you.

[news] MFBTY Sell Out First Concert; New Single Next Month and Solos 2016

understageMFBTY

Tiger JK, Yoon Mi Rae, Bizzy–otherwise known as MFBTY–held their first solo Concert at Seoul Hyundai Card Understage on November 20th, 2015.

This concert was especially meaningful to them as this was their very first solo concert after forming the project group MFBTY. The fans responded accordingly, with the tickets selling out within hours. The fans ranged from the teens, to the 20’s + as well as lots of international fans confirming MFBTY’s status as a true global group.

MFBTY, which stands for My Fans is Better Than Yours rocked the stage harder than ever before with their signature energetic stage presence and this was felt all throughout the crowd.

MFBTY started the concert with “Welcome to Wondaland” and Drunken Tiger’s classic, “Do you Know Hip Hop,” creating a huge sing-along.

“Do You Know HipHop” with acoustic arrangement

MFBTY continued with Drunken Tiger’s classics such as “Good Life,” “I Want You” and “Monster” before heading off to YoonMiRae’s world with “Angel,” “Black Happiness,” “Soul Flower” and “Pay Day.” Finally, they came together in Wondaland’s space by performing “Sweet Dream,” “Get It In” and “Bang Diggy Bang Bang,” hyping the crowd even more.

YoonMiRae “Get It In”

Tiger Jk explained to the crowd the meaning behind the MFBTY name, “MFBTY is not just our group name. It’s love, philosophy and the way of life.” He continued, “We all have our solo works lined up for release. Yoon Mi Rae is releasing her long awaited single in December and Bizzy’s solo album is waiting to be released in 2016.”

Combined with a talented acoustic instrument team, MFBTY delivered a memorable show for fans.

“Monster” acoustic

The idea of MFBTY came about when the three decided to create music they weren’t able to try out as individual musicians. “Sweet Dream” was their first single which was released in January 2013. Since then they worked together in tracks such as Drunken Tiger’s “The Cure,” and Yoon Mi Rae’s “Angel.”

In March this year, MFBTY’s first full album, Wondaland, was released. To much surprise to the fans, the genres included in the album varied from Hip hop to rock as well as electronic, garnering extremely positive reviews from fans all over the world.

The MFBTY members are planning to concentrate on their individual works going forward.
