[FULL RECAP] MFBTY Special on MNET’s 4ThingsShow w/ Guest, BTS’ RapMonster

4thingsshowyellow

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD.

March 24th marked the first time since the members of MFBTY (Bizzy, Tiger JK, YoonMiRae) participated in a reality show since 2010. The producers at MNET’s “4ThingsShow (or 4 Kinds Show)” were with MFBTY as they prepared for their first full length album, Wondaland. BTS’ RapMon who also featured on Wondaland unexpectedly dropped in during the shooting and became the show’s 4th part to complete the show title’s theme. This hour long special takes us from JK’s humble beginnings, MFBTY’s hometown of Uijeongbu, RapMon’s thoughts of collaborating with his “hip-hop king,” to the tough slump they endured when JK’s father died. However, the ending shows the trio becoming stronger as a result of that tough time, and appropriately ending with a mini-video for their second single, “Hello Happy.

Introductions

jkintro

tashaintro

Tiger is the first to be introduced, but rather than elaborate on himself, he introduces his wife, who is a first time guest on the show. They briefly discuss their relationship and share how the magic is still alive within it. Tiger comments that she still feels like his girlfriend, and Tasha not knowing what JK said, comments similarly that she still doesn’t know the difference between being in a relationship versus being married.

bizzyintro

When it comes to Bizzy, JK said without him, JK wouldn’t be able to do what he does. However, there are still many who don’t know who he is. When asked how he got his start, he revealed he’s been rapping since fellow rapper, Yang Dong Geun’s (YDG) 1.5 album. That was nearly 12 years ago! He was still learning from YDG, who ironically was mentored by Drunken Tiger, and JK decided to help. Ever since 2004, Bizzy’s performed alongside JK and Tasha, but ironically people still have trouble recognizing him.

rapmonintro

Rap Mon is then introduced, but this is his 3rd time on the show. He’s most famously known as BTS’ leader, but he was an underground rapper prior and grew up idolizing JK. As seen on his last appearance, people questioned him on why he joined a boyband. He vowed to change the views of these critics, and flash forward, he has a solo hip-hop mixtape and this collaboration with MFBTY.

jkhiding
JK hiding from cameras.

We’re then taken to what looks like a seclusion room that JK must stay in for a day and be monitored. JK catches on that he’s being filmed and quickly devises a plan to maximize his privacy. He starts brushing his teeth, and slyly puts a mirror in front of the sink camera to block its view. The producers catch on to him and tell him he has to talk about MFBTY while in the room, and ask him why he is covering up the cameras. His excuse, “Oh, I needed to move it because the water stopped running in the sink.”

Is JK the Godfather of Korean Hip-hop?

jktitle
“The title makes me feel good, but I don’t know if it’s me.”

Seeing he can’t escape, he proceeds to look himself up on the internet and comment on what people say about him. A common theme he sees is people calling him the father of Korean hip-hop, and we see him get uncomfortable. RapMon is asked about this and shows some frustration, “These days, younger people don’t know who he is.”

jkyoung
A young Tiger.

JK elaborates on how he started, stating he got into hip-hop culture through his friends, and it wasn’t something he saw as a career for himself. He liked the culture even when others didn’t understand it. However, he was picked up by Oasis Records after he performed at show, and later came out with his first actual album, “Call Me Tiger.” He formed Drunken Tiger the group 5 years later with then partner, DJ Shine, and the album was a breaking point for hip-hop culture. However, Korean culture still couldn’t grasp the concept of it. Nevertheless, Drunken Tiger is credited for bringing the culture into the mainstream, but it’s not something that JK likes to talk about. Korea was already doing some hip-hop, but because DT brought many cultural elements into the mainstream, he’s been labeled Korea hip-hop’s godfather. This puts an unexpected pressure on him to live up to a certain image.

Uijeongbu: Home of The Tiger

braidedjk
Getting his braids done.

We’re next taken into a mini tour of Uijeongbu, a small city outside of Seoul that MFBTY calls home. Tasha and her family have lived here for many years, and she admits that Tiger moved there for her. She describes Uijeongbu that is a city that has the peace of the suburbs. At night, the nightlife is booming, but in the daytime you can hear farm animals and see beautiful mountains. Around the neighborhood, there’s multicultural restaurants and Tiger even makes a visit to a braiding shop that his wife recommended. JK video calls her and his son from the shop. Tasha catches the stylist (who happens to be her own) and reveals that JK is sensitive and might cry if his braids are too tight.

A Feel Ghood Time Capsule

Inside the Feel Ghood Music office/studio.

The new Feel Ghood Music office is referred to as a time capsule. The common area is filled to the ceiling with vinyls that the group uses for inspiration, and there are no windows to minimize distractions. When they are in the studio, they get caught up in their music and it’s easy to lose track of what time of day it is. Tasha refers to it as a black hole that is easy to get stuck in.

Tiger The Great Husband

tashajkgambino
JK’s aegyo flirting.

As the trio prepare for the Hello Happy music video shoot, Tiger is seen dancing to Childish Gambino’s “Sober,” and the result is almost similar to the music video. Tasha is initially unphased by JK’s woo’ing dance, but after stringing him along, she jumps into dance with him. Tasha comments that JK has sacrificed so much for her. No matter how sick he is or how tired, he would do anything to make her happy. Bizzy reveals that JK is the one who has “aegyo (cutesy act)” in the relationship, not Tasha. However, their relationship is like a match made in heaven.

Tiger JK is NOT Funny

ymrjksjokes
“JK’s jokes are corny.” – Tasha

“That was supposed to be a joke?” – RapMon

Bizzy and Tiger are back in the studio and are ready to review the album track list. They’re looking at feedback and votes for what should be the lead singles. JK reveals that BangDiggyBangBang was inspired by his son’s love for a trampoline (“BangBang” is slang for trampoline, “BangDiggy” means Jump on). In the midst of this, he tries to drop some punch lines and is met with a non-reactive Tasha and an awkward laughing Bizzy. Tiger reveals that no one ever seems to get his jokes. Tasha reiterates and says, “His jokes take so long to get. He thinks they’re funny, but really they’re just corny.” RapMon’s reaction to JK’s jokes, “That was supposed to be a joke?”

Rap Mon Surprises MFBTY

rapmoncrash
RapMon crashes the 4ThingsShow taping

We’re taken back to when the group filmed their “Bang Diggy Bang Bang,” video. Tasha is missing from the room, and JK and Bizzy stand in awkward silence. JK says that without a script and without Tasha, both he and Bizzy are useless. Rap Monster arrives a few minutes later without knowing MFBTY is in the middle of filming for 4ThingsShow. He is caught off guard at first, but tells the camera that Tiger JK is his idol. JK replies, “You’re my idol (play on words).” JK comments that Rapmon changed his view of idol rappers. Rapmon’s good-natured personality and natural skills rapping left a positive impression.

rapmonshirt
RapMon recalls hearing Tiger JK get jealous.

However, it wasn’t always positive between RapMon and JK. JK recalls that in the studio, RapMon took off his shirt and left only his undershirt on. JK was worried RapMon was trying to get a glance from Tasha, and it didn’t help that Tasha was being friendly to him. This didn’t sit well with JK and he said, “Your face changes when someone younger comes.” A small argument between Tasha and JK followed. This occurred in front of RapMon, who commented that he could see even through an argument, they truly loved each other.

Jordan Standing Tall

jordansface
Jordan closes in on dad’s camera.

We get a glimpse into their apartment and Jordan is seen gleefully playing. Tasha is in amazement that Jordan has grown so quickly, and both her and Bizzy say he’s trying to be more like his father. Tasha reminisces JK’s reaction when Jordan was born, “Every worry JK had just disappeared.”

Remembering G-PA

g-pasroom
Suh Byung Hoo’s (JK’s father) room remains in tact a year after his passing.

The show turns somber as the audience is led to JK’s father’s room, which is still in tact a year after his dad’s passing. It’s a touchy subject for all three members to discuss, who all struggle to hold back tears. Tasha reveals that JK’s father (known to fans as “Smilingrandaddy” or G-PA, short for grandpa) was everything to him: father, teacher, best friend, and mother. JK’s face fills with admiration as he remembers his dad, “He was a teacher, well cultured, someone that was loved by many.” When his father was diagnosed with cancer in July 2013, JK did all he could to save him, but, “No matter what I did, I couldn’t save him. It made me crazy.”

The funeral was more burdensome. The media showed up at the funeral, and JK was in no mood to have it that day. He screamed at some, saying, “This is not a show!”

jkremembersegpa

To this day, JK tries to put on a strong face in front of his family, but Tasha can hear him crying in the bathroom sometimes. JK misses his dad. However, rather than think of those months as a painful time, he takes what good he can: “During that time, the world felt so cold, but when I look back, I think of those last 7 months we had with him as a beautiful time for our family. We held his hand while he slept, shared meals with him when he was hungry.” His family hardly left his father’s side.

JK honors his father’s memory as much as possible. The necklace he wears now is one his father gave to him. JK is postponing cutting his hair because his dad would touch JK’s hair when they would talk to each other. Everyday he asks Tasha if he should cut it, then tells Tasha he’ll cut it tomorrow. Tomorrow still hasn’t come.

JK says he feels his father’s presence and hears his father speaking to him. In return JK writes to him hoping to “hear” a response.

Coming Back To Music

angelnecklace

It took 10 months for MFBTY to fully come back to music. The release of “Angel” (under YoonMiRae’s name) in December marked their first single back, and it soared to #1 quicker than expected. The song was about everyone being an angel for someone, and there are angels there for you during your hard times. Clearly, it had elements inspired by their experience that past year. Making the song wasn’t about making a hip-hop track, it was just about making a song that felt good (thus Feel Ghood Music).

Returning as MFBTY fully 4 months later was hardly any different. The “Wondaland” album was meant to be free of genre, as it had elements from all areas. Even RapMon commented that when he heard the album, he didn’t need to know its “meaning.” It was just a new sound.

bizzygoodmusic
“It’s just music that feels good.” – Bizzy

While critically acclaimed (check their recent review in Billboard Magazine), the name caused them some problems.

“It stands for ‘Mother Freakin’ BizzyTigerYoonMiRae,’ or ‘Miss Fat Booty,’ or ‘My Fans Are Better Than Yours,” JK says.

However, it’s not the meaning that fans take issue. “It’s not that hard to say!” Bizzy says in response to a question about the pronunciation.

What Is Wondaland?

tigermfbtyexplain

In the beginning of the Wondaland album, we hear Tiger JK’s mother explaining what MFBTY is. JK clarifies that the title refers to a special place that is strange, but a kind of free dream land. The musical styles on the album match the concept, as they don’t want to label it as one type of genre. There were expectations this was a hip-hop album, but Tasha tells us not to worry about that, “Just listen to it and feel it.”

As the show draws to an end, Bizzy, Tasha, and RapMon are asked their thoughts on Tiger. RapMon says, “He’s not ‘Ho-Rang-Ee’ JK. He is his own name, no translation. Just TIGER JK.”

Bizzy tells stories of his friends listening to JK’s music. “My friends are older now. They’re married, some with kids. They have different priorities. However, when they listen to JK’s lyrics, they are inspired to listen to music again.”

JK is then asked to reflect on himself. He refers to himself as “Old Tiger” now. Unknowing to him, Tasha says JK still seems the same age to her.

jkisthesametasha
On JK’s age: “He’s still seems the same.”

The show ends with 4 messages JK is to keep in a time capsule to be opened in the future. One message is for his father, one saying “Tiger JK is here,” one that we can’t make out unfortunately, but the last one appropriately written: Love, Peace, & Harmony.

[News] Bizzy Bizzionary: An Inside Look At MFBTY’s Third Member

11081320_1024669794213151_3475070354372774406_n

It is March 16, 2015 and a rapper is seen quietly psyching himself up, saying “I can do it” inside a restaurant in Gangnam. He has his game face on. It’s 3 days before his new track comes out. Is he anticipating taking the number 1 spot onthe music charts?

Not exactly. It’s because he has nominated himself to be the MC for their album release party on the 18th. It is very rare to see the artists themselves MC’ing their album release event. It’s usually a professional MC that manages the event ensuring everything flows smoothly. However this rapper is confident he can do a good job.

He is MFBTY’s Bizzy. Haven’t heard of him? It’s the person beside Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae. Yes, it is clear that compared to the other two artists, he is not as well known. This is the reason why he volunteered to MC for the night, as this was an excellent opportunity for the media and the general public to hear and notice Bizzy on the stage. He even visited the promo office to receive 1:1 media training and to practice. All preparations were done. All he could do was wait.

Now let’s switch it up a bit. MFBTY’s first full album “Wondaland” was released on March 19, 2015. They received the top spots on 4 respective music charts. However, there were some comments regarding their results saying they were not as good because fans were not aware of the project group MFBTY. In other words, if they knew Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae were in it, people were more likely to reach out for the tracks.

This makes sense. Many people do know Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae, but MFBTY, that’s a different story. So why are they calling themselves MFBTY? Because other than “My Fans [Are] Better Than Yours,” it also means, “Mother Freakin’ Bizzy Tiger YoonMiRae.

10313328_1024669837546480_2930393204707924928_n

Bizzy is used to hearing all the ‘usual’ questions, e.g. “what are you doing between that married couple?” Even the writer of this article (Osen reporter) asked him, “So what do you do in MFBTY?”.Although this might have been hurtful to others, Bizzy politely replied “Oh, this and that.”

Within his record label (Feel Ghood Music, which he, Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae created) he is known as General Manager, Mr. Park. As their record label just turned two, they are still in their establishment phase and will be needing hands on assistance every now and then. These days, General Manager Mr. Park, (aka Bizzy) is helping with the promotional team which is a big help to them.

It was the morning of the day when the album,”Wondaland,” was going to be announced for the first time to the media and general public. Needless to say, Tiger JK & Yoon Mi Rae had high expectations.

Unfortunately, the MC for the event was Tiger JK. Bizzy froze midway through and Tiger JK had to step in. However, the short amount of time Bizzy was MCing, it left a positive impression on the media personnel.

Rappers tell their life stories on the stages with their flows. Bizzy, a hip hop veteran is always explosive on stage. However, when he needs to talk, he freezes.

There’s a short video clip recorded from KBS, “Yoon Do Hyun’s Love Letter” that is legendary. Yoon Do Hyun asks Bizzy a question and he does not respond back. One may think it was all part of his character, a certain type of as swag, whereas others deducted that maybe he was unable to speak at that moment because he was embarrassed. Most recently on MNet’s, “4KindsShow” he spoke less than Rap Monster (BTS) who featured on their album.

Those that are in Bizzy’s close circles call him, “The music industry’s nuclear bomb with no explosion” much to Bizzy’s frustration. After the album release event, Bizzy took up boxing again (which he stopped doing for a short time). While speaking of boxing, Bizzy commented, Yoon Mi Rae’s punches hurt the most (to which Tiger JK agreed).

His long awaited solo album

There’s a good chance Bizzy’s solo album will drop in the first half of 2015. With regards to his signature energetic flow and powerful performances, he commented “To survive between Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae, I formed a habit of shouting when performing.”

In his solo album, there is an expected music style change. With jazz and R&B on his listening menu lately, he has told the writer that his music style has toned down a little bit. But don’t worry, his powerful performances will not disappear.

Bizzy was offered a lot of Korean idol spots when he returned to Korea from New Zealand. Amongst his nicknames is “Hiphop Gong Yoo,” which might sounds like it refers to the actor Gong Yoo, however this nickname was given to him after people saw him on, “Come To Play.” His positive energy is addictive and one of his greatest assets. He stated that he is at his happiest right now.

Rapper, Sean2Slow gave Bizzy his name a long time ago wishing him to be busy. When asked whether he is busy, he smiled and answered, “Much busier than before!” When you search his name, soybean curd come up first (food product, same Korean spelling as Bizzy written in Korean) he is just happy that there are a lot of “Rapper Bizzy” related posts nowadays.

This is Bizzy, who’s happily single, but would love to raise a family one day.

[NEWS] MFBTY, Tiger JK – “Even we get our name wrong every now and then.”

Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae appeared on “YTN News12 – Issue & People” on March 18, 2015 discussing the story behind their group name.

MFBTY, is short for “My Fans Better Than Yours”. Although the underlying concept behind the name is excellent, Tiger JK stated that even they get their name wrong.

“We didn’t know it would blow up like this, we had a fanclub whom made our group name for us and before we knew it, it kind of got stuck and we went with it”

“All around the world, people have been showing us mad love for our new album “Wondaland” however, in Koreait’s a different story.”

He advised that in his opinion, although their music is hot, their group name is making it difficult for fans to show love.

The comments relating to the program included comments such as “Please change your name to something easier for the Korean fans.”, “Netizens, please help my favorite group change their name into something easier for everyone!”, “It really is too hard”, “The meaning is awesome however, the pronunciation…”

MFBTY’s first album. “Wondaland” has three title tracks, “Hello Happy”, “Bang Diggy Bang Bang”, and “In Your Eyes”.

“Wondaland”, is comprised of 17 tracks and is available now in all major music retailers.

In addition to the success of the album, MFBTY is scheduled to appear on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook. YooHeeYeol is responsible for picking the title tracks. Tiger joked that if the album was a success, it would be thanks to Yoo Hee Yeol, but if it flops, it would be his fault.

[vid/news] Easter Eggs You May Have Missed in MFBTY’s “BangDiggyBangBang” MV

So we’re off! MFBTY has officially released the Wondaland album, and they didn’t disappoint. While the album is considered “underground pop,” loyal hip-hop fans of the trio will not be disappointed. Before we get into the album, a reminder of the (1 of 3) debut single: “Bang Diggy Bang Bang.”

That hook just gets you, huh? As expected, the song took off, and the entire album topped charts within hours. It was so popular, that it took over 17/20 spots on Daum.net music charts.

As for the video, there have been many compliments regarding the playful vibe and MFBTY’s dance skills (Don’t worry, hip-hop OGs, it was only a few moves). The fast pace and array of colors in “Bang Diggy Bang Bang,” makes it easy to miss underlying messages. Luckily, our keen eyes and MFBTY expertise were able to catch them. Here’s what you missed:

1)There’s A Meaning Behind The Pillow Fights

mfbtypillowsintro

kungfutiger

When MFBTY was still a joke between Tiger and fans, they created “wonderland,” which was a figurative place where JK and fans could say and do anything, almost like a child getting lost in a mysterious world. Tiger would playfully say, “Let’s pillow fight,” if he sensed someone would disagree with something he said. It soon became a daily saying for him, and fans would reply back, “Pillow fight!” In the beginning of the video, we see JK walking with a pillow in his hand (properly marked “Bang Diggy Bang Bang”) and his destination is a pile of MFBTY pillows. Given the name came from MFBTY fans before there was an MFBTY, it was only appropriate that the debut video started with this shout out to “wonderland.”

2) The “Lost” T-Shirt

losttee1

The “LOST” t-shirt appears subtly repeatedly throughout the video. While meaningless on the surface, this is another homage to the original “wonderland,” where fans could get “lost” in the madness.

losttee2
Lost tee hiding again on the right corner.

3) Rap Monster’s Jasmine Poops Blow Up Toilets… Literally

rapmonblowsupthetoilet

We saw BTS Rap Monster already kill it on MFBTY’s “Bucku Bucku/Shy Shy,” and the last line of his verse was what really surprised people: “Even my poop smells like jasmine tea.” The video for “Shy Shy,” was shot the same day as “Bang Diggy Bang Bang,” and Rap Mon wanted to reiterate his poop smell was so unbelievably good, it would literally “blow up toilets.” Now we know his jasmine poops are green in gaseous form.

4) Duckie Dale, The Bangles, and Indiana Jones Made Cameos

80sreferencemfbty

If you just understood that, you are an 80’s geek who related to this vid a little too well. There were an unbelievable amount of nerdy awesome 80’s moments thrown in, but the one that stood out to us was this shot. Bizzy’s pompadour hairstyle is reminiscent of famous 80’s icon, Duckie Dale from the film Pretty In Pink. Tasha’s head band takes us back to The Bangles “Walk Like An Egyptian” music video, which helped popularize Egyptian inspired fashion in that time. Leave it to Tiger to exaggerate the turban look and go borderline Indiana Jones (We debated if it was more Douglass Quaid from Total Recall, but that movie just made it out of the 80’s). Their stylist, Little E of electronic band, EE, did a heck of a job taking us back through time.

5) Tiger’s Silent Praise of Bruce Lee

jkbrucelee

Tiger has a background as a martial art teacher, and the one person he always aspired to be was Bruce Lee. Tiger has even emulated Bruce’s hair from time to time, and never scoffed at a comparison of him and his idol.

6) Bizzy Is Part Of A Group That Only Makes Up 10% of the Population

LeftHandedBizzy

Bizzy drops a line referring to luck on his lefty while holding up his hand in the music video. Bizzy’s nickname is “Lucky Lefty,” because he is left handed.

7) That “808” Is Not An Area Code

808

That haunting hook is not a shout out to Hawaii. The code “808” actually has two meanings. The first referring to the  Roland TR-808 drum machine, which may have created some of the hard sounds in the song. “808” is also a police code for disturbing the peace with the sound of bass. Thus, the hook really means, “Here comes the bass that’s going to rock the neighborhood.”

The full length “Wondaland” album is now available in stores and on Itunes.

[news] Song Description for MFBTY’s “Wondaland”

Rappers Tiger JK, Yoon Mi-rae, and Bizzy  are releasing their first full length album together as group, MFBTY.

March 18, M Academy Concert Hall in Sinsa Gangnam—  MFBTY held a pre-listening conference to introduce their album, “Wondaland.” The album is schedule to be released today, March 19th.

MFBTY previously released a mini album in 2013 called, “Sweet Dream,” followed by “The Cure,” under the Drunken Tiger name, and then a single under Yoon MiRae’s name, “Angel.” All their title singles swept the charts, but they had never released a full length album under the MFBTY name.

“Wondaland” is not a hip-hop album, but a reinterpretation of Korean pop. It holds 16 tracks, and the group will release three title songs (“Triple Threat” Singles) at once. It includes various genres from electronic to rock, completing the spectrum of musical genres. The album features an artists from different areas of music, including legendary rock star Jeon InKwon, TV personality Yoo Hee-Yeol, BEAST’s Yong JunHyung, BTS’ Rap Monster, The Voice winner, Son Seung Yun, Illionaire’s Dok2, Windy City’s Kim Ban Jang, and electronic duo, EE. The album keeps you guessing with its outstanding 16-song track list.

# Happy Hello (Hello Happy)

This is one of the 3 triple threat singles. It reinterprets the chorus from YoonMiRae’s “Goodbye Sadness, Hello Happiness,” and is complimented by a sweet melody played by Yoo Hee Yeol, a well-known musician and TV host in Korea. Yoo did the arrangements for this song. This originally was not a title song, but they kept redoing it and Hee Yeol instantly loved it. YoonMiRae’s resonating vocals along with Yoo, Tiger, and Bizzy will stimulate the senses.

# Hey, hey, hey!

This song intro was originally supposed to be narrated by Yoo Hee Yeol. Tiger JK asked to do a provocative intro, but they could not include it due to its content. The song has a sexy feeling to it and incorporates an EDM (electronic music festival) sound. This is a genre that MFBTY has never tried.

# Bucku Bucku (“Shy Shy”)

The fun does not stop in this song. MFBTY pre-released a music video for “Shy Shy,” which features electronic duo EE, BTS’ Rap Monster, and new rapper, Dino-J. This song comes closer to MFBTY’s hip-hop origins, with every person spitting a rhyme parading their confidence. The hook is extremely catchy, and the hard hitting rhymes will leave you shaking.

# In The Eyes

This is one of the lighter, more fun, songs on the album, and the second “triple threat” single. The song is supposed to evoke getting lost in a disco ball. There is a line in YoonMiRae’s rap where she says, “I only can see my eyes.” The rhythmic beat and stomp will make you feel like you are in a real disco. This became a triple because Yoo Hee Yeol recommended it.

11009908_1555581211390257_6855288039130430534_n

# Holly Who

Tiger JK asked Dok2 to help because he knows the current trend really well. There is a funny story behind this track. Dok2’s white Mercedes SUV surprised JK’s neighbors. “The Quiett” also participated in the track and gave a lot of advice

# Bang Diggy Bang Bang*

This is one of the triple title track with Windy City’s Kim Ban Jang on the drums. Mirae thought of this song while riding 방방 with her son jordan (방방 seems like a name of an amusement ride). It harkens back to the 80s and features a retro tone music video. MiRae also shows off her cool dance moves. Tiger mentioned that Tasha used to be in an idol like hip-hop/R&B group, so she knew how to dance well. I saw her dancing at home so I secretly asked her to come up with the choreography and made the track. The song leaves an impression with its foreign sound and reminds people of martial arts movies. Amongst the three singles, Yoo Hee Yeol suggested this to be the main one.

# Fart Dance

Jordan took part in this song including the song writing, performance, and producing. When jordan saw tiger jk working on a music program, he tought it was a video game and started playing with it. When MV director, Lumpens, heard this track by accident, he thought it was JK’s track and asked him to include it on the album so he could work on it. Currently, Jordan doesn’t like the title and keeps asking to change it to, “Dub Step” (a genre he likes). The dreamy and addictive electronic sound lingers around the ear. and Jordan’s voice saying ‘방귀대장 뽀로로(Fart Captain Pororo)” brings a mother-like smile to your face.

Let It Go

This is a track with Beast’s Yong Jun Hyung. MFBTY wanted to do a song where they would break barriers, introducing an idol to the hip-hop community and a seasoned rapper to the pop audience. Yong actually hesitated for 20 days. He reinterpreted the song and did not come off as a stereotypical idol rapper. Tasha’s vocals and fast rhymes stand out. She switches back and forth, intensifying the fun almost like a roller coaster. MFBTY’s skill shined here and Yong JunHyung comes off as a brand new artist.

Love and Peace

This track is with legendary rocker, Jeon In Kwon. Tiger JK and Jeon In Kwon continued to work on the track up until the day of the listening event. It was a reggae track with rap, but the rap was taken out per Jeon’s advice. He wanted to remove everything and only have truth, roughness, and loneliness. It is a minimalistic track with vocals, no gimmicks. Jeon’s trademark voice and MFBTY’s voices come together in this calm harmony.

*Bang Diggy Bang Bang is like an onomatopoeia for hopping/jumping as well, similar to like when you are on a trampoline. Jordan enjoys trampolines.

[video] MFBTY Second Teaser Released: “Bang Diggy Bang Bang”

MFBTY released a teaser for the second title song, “Bang Diggy Bang Bang.” In contrast to “Bucku Bucku/Shy Shy,” this song has a more playful tone, with our trio even busting some dance moves in a colorful setting. BTS’ RapMon makes a quick cameo again on this one, and KimBanJang from Windy City is seen playing with what looks like live drums (not live as in music, but live as in living!) If you’re wondering what the pillows are about, this is an element that was developed in the original MFBTY joke, pre-debut days.

For now, MFBTY has revealed “Bucku Bucku/Shy Shy” and “BangDiggyBangBang” to be 2/3 of the title tracks. The question remains as to which track they will choose as the final single.

Another interesting track that’s included is the track, “Fart Dance” made by Tiger JK and Yoon Mi Rae’s son, Jordan. Track number 2, “Hello Happy” has a mystery guest feature.

Wondaland is highly anticipated within Korea as well as all around the world. The album will be released on March 19th, 12PM KST via various online music sites. Pre-orders are available now from all major music retailers.
